Poole

A large town on Dorset’s south coast, Poole is a popular tourist resort, offering its visitors a mixture of historical and modern attractions, along with award winning beaches. This medieval port is right next to the coast and offers many activities linked to the sea, with excellent and affordable boating and watersport facilities being available for everybody to try. The area is also an extremely popular stop for fishing and organised trips are easy to spot along the harbour front.

Poole Quay is the place to go if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere, day or night. The area is home to a host of restaurants, eateries and bars and has a spectacular view over the harbour and its many yachts and boats.

With over 3 miles of golden beaches, the beaches in Poole are popular with both tourists and locals alike and during the summer months, they house the popular Summer Breeze beach Thursday night parties. With live music, family entertainment and firework displays, the event is a big hit with all.

Named after its origin town, Poole Pottery is still very much linked with the area. The company has a working studio on the towns Quay and here you can see the artists and designers at their day to day work, whilst learning more about Poole Pottery. The attraction also has a unique paint your own area, offering visitors the chance to create their own masterpiece to take home, choosing from a selection of pottery items. There’s also a shop and café to make it the perfect day out for the whole family.
